Yibot is a unique blend of form and function, designed to make cooking a delightful experience. Its design is inspired by the natural cycle of sunrise and sunset, symbolizing the human need for food. The robot is a radical departure from traditional Chinese kitchens, where cooking can be a challenging and non-standardized process.

What sets Yibot apart from other kitchen appliances is its intelligent design and functionality. It comprises four modules: raw materials weighing and automatic dispensing, cooking, and an integrated ventilator. The robot can pump at least eight liquid and five powdered seasonings, enabling it to create over 1000 recipes from around the world. Its compact design allows for multiple units to be placed in a traditional commercial kitchen, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

The realization of Yibot's design involved the use of various materials and technologies. The main body, made of bent and brushed stainless steel, is easy to clean and durable. The sides are cut from stainless steel to reduce costs, and an anti-fingerprint layer is coated on the surface. The rotary knob is made from die-cast aluminum alloy, with eight-gun ceramic sandblasting and anodizing to enhance the touch. The electronic scale module on the screen is made of AG frosted glass, and the metal nameplate is engraved with a laser.

Operating Yibot is a breeze. Users can choose their favorite recipes from the touch screen, add the ingredients, and let the robot do the rest. Yibot automatically adjusts the seasonings and heating based on the detected ingredients, ensuring a perfect meal every time. The integrated ventilator runs throughout the cooking process, eliminating the need for manual cleaning.

Yibot's design was a result of extensive research and creativity. The designers visited 114 different restaurants and observed the cooking processes to create a quantitative system that analyzes how heating and seasonings affect food taste, texture, and flavor. The project, which began in Shenzhen in January 2021, was completed in March 2022.
